At Old Georgians RFC, we believe rugby should be competitive, social and genuinely enjoyable.
We’re a community-first rugby club in Surrey built on what we call “casual competitiveness” – relaxed and welcoming off the pitch, fiercely committed when it matters.

Road to Allianz
One of the greatest feats in our club’s history was playing at HQ in the final of the 2025 Papa John’s Community Cup. Here’s a video from England Rugby showcasing our journey.
Cup runs are a big part of who we are and we continue to have keen focus on making it back to Allianz Stadium.

Old Georgians RFC sits comfortably in that space many players are searching for but few clubs clearly articulate. We play competitive rugby at a good standard across Surrey leagues and cups, yet we’ve built our culture around enjoyment, consistency and belonging rather than hierarchy or hype.
We made a deliberate decision to operate as a non-training club. Many of our players balance demanding jobs, travel and family commitments, and we believe rugby should fit around real life not compete with it. What matters most to us is Saturday availability, effort and contribution to the group. If you commit to the shirt and the team, you’ll play. Amateur rugby works best when people feel involved, not peripheral. That balance is what defines us.
The rugby is organised, ambitious and serious when it needs to be. Off the pitch, it’s welcoming, easy and refreshingly unpretentious. New players aren’t left navigating cliques. Returning players aren’t judged for time away. And those joining from London or elsewhere in Surrey quickly find their place.
