Supporting the Club Behind the Rugby

Old Georgians RFC is incredibly grateful to the organisations and individuals who have supported the club over the years. Community rugby depends on more than what happens on the pitch. It relies on people and partners who believe in the value of grassroots sport and the communities that grow around it.

Our sponsors play a vital role in helping sustain the club and create opportunities for players. Their support helps us maintain facilities, organise fixtures, develop the squad and ensure that OGs continues to be a welcoming, well-run rugby club in Surrey.

Like many amateur rugby clubs, the progress and stability of Old Georgians has only been possible thanks to the generosity and belief of those who choose to support us.

Trailfinders

A special thank you goes to Trailfinders, whose support has been an important part of the club’s history and success.

Through the backing of Trailfinders and the support of its founder – and Old Georgian – Sir Mike Gooley, Old Georgians has been able to strengthen its foundations and continue developing both on and off the pitch. Their belief in community sport reflects the same values that drive the club itself: opportunity, connection and the enjoyment of rugby.

The relationship between Trailfinders and OGs represents more than sponsorship. It reflects a shared commitment to supporting grassroots sport and ensuring clubs like ours continue to thrive.

Woodlodge

Woodlodge played an important role in the early years of Old Georgians RFC, supporting the club as kit sponsor from 2011 through to 2019. At a time when the club was still establishing itself, their backing helped ensure OGs had the foundations it needed to get going and grow with confidence.

Their support went beyond simply providing kit. It helped give the club a sense of identity during those formative seasons, ensuring that when Old Georgians took the field, the team looked the part as well as played the part. For a young club finding its feet, that kind of backing made a real difference.

Woodlodge’s contribution during those early years helped set the tone for the club’s development and remains an important chapter in the OGs story.

Roberts Radios

During some of the club’s most successful seasons competing in the London leagues, Old Georgians RFC were proud to be supported by Roberts Radios as kit sponsor.

Representing such an iconic British brand – and one with strong local roots – was a privilege for the club. Their support coincided with a period when OGs was climbing through the leagues and competing at a level many involved with the club had once only imagined.

Being associated with a brand as respected as Roberts Radios was a source of pride for the club and reflected the growing credibility and reputation Old Georgians had built during those years.

St. George’s College

While not technically a sponsor, St George’s College has been one of the most important supporters of Old Georgians RFC since the club’s very beginning.

From the club’s earliest seasons, St George’s has generously provided access to its outstanding facilities, giving OGs a home and a place to build the club both on and off the pitch. That support has been invaluable, particularly during the formative years when establishing stability and identity was so important.

Beyond the facilities, the connection with the school also reflects the deeper relationship between the Old Georgian community and the club itself. For many involved with OGs, it is both an honour and a privilege to call St George’s College home.

Supporting Community Rugby

Sponsorship plays an important role in helping amateur clubs remain sustainable. From helping fund equipment and facilities to supporting matchdays and club events, partners enable the club to continue delivering competitive rugby and a strong community environment.

For Old Georgians, sponsorship is about building genuine relationships with people and organisations who want to support the club and the community around it.
