OGs made the perfect start away at London Exiles, striking early to take control of the contest. A sharp opening saw Charlie Gavin convert after Charlie Gavin’s try to put OGs 0–7 up and immediately settle into the game.
Momentum stayed firmly with the visitors. From a scrum, Ben Watts reacted quickest to pick and go, breaking clear to finish a rapid score that caught plenty off guard. Gavin added the extras once again, stretching the lead to 0–14 and giving OGs a strong early platform.
London Exiles had their moments in response, building sustained pressure towards the end of the first half. A key defensive effort from OGs saw them hold the ball up over the line, preserving the shutout and heading into the break with their lead intact.
The second half saw Exiles come back into the game. A yellow card for a high tackle disrupted their rhythm, but they still managed to cross for a try, narrowing the gap to 7–14.
